SSC GD Constable Exam Selection Process:
As per the Staff Selection Commission General Duty Constable Selection Procedure will be as follows:
- Computer-Based Examination (CBE)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern 2024 ([Revised)
According to the updated SSC GD Constable Exam pattern, the Tier 1 exam is an online, multiple-choice exam.
- The exam consists of four sections and a total of 80 questions.
- The SSC GD Constable Tier I exam is 60 minutes long.
- The Computer Based Examination (CBE) is conducted in bilingual languages i.e. English and Hindi.
- In the SSC GD online test, each incorrect answer is for 0.50 points.
- The online examination will include questions from the High School (10th) level.
SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern 2024
One Objective Type Paper will be included in the SSC GD Constable Computer-Based Examination. The SSC GD Constable Question Paper will contain 80 questions, each worth two marks. Candidates must browse through the tabular form below to obtain the most up-to-date SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern 2024. Each incorrect response will result in a 0.5 penalty. Furthermore, the SSC GD Constable Exam will be held at the Matriculation Level.

SSC GD Constable Exam Syllabus 2024
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analytical aptitude and the ability to Identify and distinguish patterns will be examined primarily through non-verbal questions. This section may include questions about analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, nonverbal series, coding, decoding, and so on.
- General Knowledge and General Awareness: This component’s questions will be designed to assess the candidate’s broad knowledge of his surroundings. Questions will also be designed to assess knowledge of current events as well as everyday observations and experiences in their scientific context, as would be expected of any educated individual. The exam will also feature questions about India and its neighboring nations, specifically sports, history, culture, geography, the economic scene, general politics, the Indian Constitution, and scientific research. These questions will be such that no special knowledge of any discipline is required.
- Elementary Mathematics: This paper will include questions about Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals, and Fractions, and the relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetic operations, Percentages, Ratios and Proportions, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, and so on.
- English/Hindi: Candidates’ fundamental knowledge and understanding of English/Hindi will be checked.
SSC GD Constable Physical Efficiency Test
Candidates who score more than the cut-off marks for the SSC GD Online exam will be eligible to take the Physical Efficiency Test, for which the SSC has specified standards.
