Staff Pharmacist

We are a small local pharmacy whose mission is to provide the utmost care to patients and, in doing so, contribute to the community. We value integrity, care, and community. And we are willing to do what is necessary to give the care that patients need in whatever way we can.

We are looking for a Staff Pharmacist to join our team! You will be responsible for dispensing drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners to patients. Hours to start are 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday to Thursday, and 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM on Sundays. But, we are open to other schedules as well! Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals and advise them on indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage
• Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies
• Advise customers on the selection and use of non-prescription medication
• Compound and dispense prescribed medications
• Advise physicians and health practitioners on the interactions and side effects of medications
• Provide patients with pertinent drug information
• Proactively review prescriptions for proper dosage
• Supervise and maintain records of all medications
• Other duties as per pharmacy owner

Qualifications:

Staff Pharmacist

• Registered with the College of Pharmacists and in Good Standing
• Minimum 1 year of previous experience working in a retail pharmacy
• Proficient in WinRX
• Injection Certified
• Teamwork-oriented
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Is willing to do what it takes to care for patients and grow the pharmacy
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Preferred: Certification in Opioid Use Disorder Maintenance

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday

All customers are required to wear a mask. To keep all our employees as safe as possible we have plexiglass barriers, gloves, hand sanitizer, and masks.

Experience:

• Pharmacist: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

• Pharmacist License (required)
• Injection Certification (preferred)
• OAT Certification (preferred)
