Senior Software Engineer – Frontend Platform Team For Vancouver

Spare is scaling and we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for Vancouver to join our Engineering Team!

We are a remote-first company and this position is remote optional across Canada.

About this role – Senior Software Engineer for Vancouver

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will…

• Report to the Engineer Manager;
• Be part of the Frontend Platform Team, that works on enabling other teams to be effective in web and mobile development by continuously improving our frontend infrastructure. This team is focused on building and maintaining our design systems, and making sure that mobile app delivery for our rider and driver mobile apps is as seamless as it can possibly be.
• Be involved in design discussions related to code architecture;
• Help us iterate and improve upon current engineering processes and support the team in doing the same;
• Write high-quality code. Design, code, test, document, and release new features using a combination of tools and languages;
• Build complex products and features;

Salary range: $125,000 – $140,000

About you ✨

• You have experience as a frontend senior software engineer (4+ years preferred);
• You have worked with a stack similar to ours, leaning towards frontend (TypeScript, React, React Native, Expo);
• You have worked in a company that is tech-focused (better yet if you have grown in a company like that);
