OPSC Statistical Officer Vacancy Notification 2024 – Eligibility Criteria
A candidate must be a Graduate with Honours in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Application, Physics, Economics, Applied Economics, Agricultural Economics, Sociology, or Econometrics on or before the deadline for submitting the online application form.
OPSC Statistical Officer Recruitment 2024-2024 – Selection Procedure
The Competitive Examination for Direct Recruitment of Statistical Officers will be divided into two parts: –
- Written Exam – 400 Points
- Viva Voce Exam – 100 Points
- The written examination will consist of two (2) papers, each worth 200 points.
- Each paper will have 100 questions, with each question worth 02 marks.
- The question pattern for Paper – I and Paper II will be Objective and MCQ, and the duration of the written examination for Paper-I will be 02 hours and for Paper II will be 03 hours.
- There will be negative markings for incorrect answers, with 0.50 (@25% of the marks allotted to each question) deducted from the marks awarded for correct answers for each incorrect answer.
- To shortlist candidates for the Viva Voce Test, the Commission will determine the qualifying mark in the written test.
- The Viva Voce Test has a total of 100 points.
The Commission shall prepare a list of candidates in order of merit based on the marks obtained in the written examination and viva voce test, the number of which shall be equal to the number of advertised vacancies.
Salary Information for OPSC Statistical Officer Group B Positions 2024
Candidates who are selected for the post of Statistical Officer in Group-B of Odisha Subordinate Statistics and Economics Services Cadre under Planning and Convergence Department in the scale of Rs. 44,900/- in Level 10, Cell-1 of Pay Matrix under ORSP Rules, 2017 with usual Dearness and other Allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time.
Age Limit for OPSC Statistical Officer Vacancy 2024
A candidate must have reached the age of 21 (twenty-one) years and must not be older than 38 (thirty-eight) years as of January 1, 2024, i.e., he/she must have been born between January 2, 1984, and January 1, 2001.
