Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Indian Navy Sailors Jobs Educational Qualification Details: Applicants should have completed 10th Class / Matriculation from a recognized Institute / University.

Indian Navy Sailors Recruitment Age Limit Details: Applicants should be born between 01.4.2002 to 31.03.2005. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST & PWD candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates as well.

Indian Navy Sailors Pay Scale Details: Salary and payouts are according to the Government of India Rules.

• For OBC/ General Candidates: Rs. 100/-

Selection Process for Indian Navy Recruitment 2024

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, an exception is being made in the public Interest wherein approximately 10000 candidates will be called up for written examination and PFT. The shortlisting of the candidates for written examination and DFT will be undertaken on the basis of the percentage of qualifying examinations here as well. The cut-off marks may vary from state to state as vacancies have been allocated in a state-wise manner only.

Written Test

• The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type.
• The question paper will comprise four sections i.e English, Science, Mathematics, and General Knowledge.
• The standard of the question paper will be that of 10th level and the syllabus for the examination is available on the website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in
• The duration of the examination will be one hour.
• All candidates appearing for written examination would be subjected to PFT on the same day.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

• Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for the selection
• PFT will be consist of a 1.6 km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squats and 10 Push-ups, Candidates undergoing PFT will do s at their own risk.

As of October 2020, the operational fleet consists of 1 active aircraft carrier and 1 amphibious transport dock, 8 landing ship tanks, 10 destroyers, 14 frigates, 1 nuclear-powered attack submarine, 1 ballistic missile submarine, 16 conventionally-powered attack submarines, and more on sea trials, 24 corvettes, one mine countermeasure vessel, 4 fleet tankers and numerous other auxiliary vessels, small patrol boats and sophisticated ships.
