IOCL Recruitment Through GATE 2024 – Eligibility Criteria
1. Qualifying Examination
Applicants must have passed qualifying degree examinations and awarded a bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology (full time regular courses only)
M.Tech candidates: Candidates who have completed/are pursuing M.Tech in any discipline are also eligible to apply provided they have appeared in GATE 2023 examination in the eligible discipline and completed B.Tech./BE in relevant disciplines.
For Integrated ME/ M.Tech candidates: Such candidates are also eligible to apply given they have completed or are completing the course requirement for BE/ B.Tech in one of the core disciplines advertised and have completed (or are completing ME/M.Tech by September 30, 2023).
During the time of selection and interview, the candidates must possess and produce both BE/B. Tech and ME/M.Tech degrees.
Who’s not Eligible?: Candidates having completed or who are pursuing their graduation in combined/integrated disciplines/inter-disciplinary subjects like Mechatronics/Robotics etc will not be considered eligible.
2. Pass Percentage
General and OBC (NCL) category candidates must have secured at least 65% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination, whereas for SC/ST and PwD candidates, the eligibility is a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
3. Final year students
- Candidates belonging to General & OBC-NCL categories must have secured a minimum of 65% aggregate marks
- Candidates of SC/ST/PWD categories are required to have obtained at least 55% aggregate marks
- This is up to the last semester/year examination at the time of applying For Selection
- The candidates have to submit their final mark sheet by September 30, 2023.
4. OBC-NCL Reservation Certificate
Candidates should not belong to the creamy layer and the caste & community of the candidates should be listed in the ‘Central list of Other Backward Classes
5. NOC
- Candidates employed in Government/Semi-Government/Central/State
- Government Departments/Public Sector Undertakings must produce ‘No Objection
- Certificate’ from their employer at the time of the Interview
