Eligibility Criteria for AFCAT 1 2024

AFCAT 1 2024 Notification – Age Restrictions
(a) Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years old as of January 1, 2024, i.e. born between January 2, 2000, and January 1, 2004. (both dates inclusive). The maximum age limit for candidates holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by the DGCA (India) is 26 years, i.e. born between 02 January 1998 and 01 January 2004. (both dates inclusive).
(b) Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years of age as of 01 January 2024, i.e. born between 02 January 1998 and 01 January 2004
Selection Procedure for AFCAT 1 2024
According to the AFCAT Notification, online testing for AFCAT entry will be held at various locations. As a result, all candidates should take note of the specifics in order to proceed with their preparation.
Training
All courses at Air Force Academy Dundigal will begin training in the first week of January 2024. (Hyderabad). Training at Air Force Training Establishments lasts 74 weeks for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches and 52 weeks for Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches. A PAN card and account in SBI/Nationalised Bank are required for admission to the Air Force Academy. Registration requires an Aadhaar Card.
Application Fee for AFCAT 1 2024 Notification
Candidates registering for AFCAT entry must pay an examination fee of Rs. 250/- (non-refundable). Candidates registering for NCC Special entry, on the other hand, are not required to pay.

Syllabus for AFCAT 1 2024 Notification
The topics required for the AFCAT 2024 Exam Preparation are listed below. As a result, all candidates must go over the topics in order to include them in their preparation. Remember that the topics provided are only for reference. We will update this page whenever there is an official change.
- The English Section of the AFCAT Exam consists of at least 20 questions ranging in difficulty from moderate to difficult. Questions on comprehension, cloze test, synonyms and antonyms, idioms and phrases, and error spotting would be asked.
- Reasoning Section: Questions from Series, Venn Diagram, Syllogism, Blood Relationship, Non-Verbal Questions, Verbal Reasoning, Military Aptitude, and so on would be asked.
- General Knowledge: This section includes questions on Indian history, politics, economics, geography, physics, chemistry, biology, and current events. This section ranges in difficulty from easy to moderate.
- Quantitative Aptitude Section: The questions in the AFCAT 2024 Exam will be of an Easy to Moderate level, with questions ranging from the Number System, HCF and LCM, Time, Distance and Speed, Time and Work, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Average, Simple Interest, and Compound Interest, Pipes and Cistern, and so on.

The IAF will plan and release the Admit Card for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) according to the schedule that will be announced.
