But as most of us know, looking for a new job can be a time-consuming process. 1. Know what you want

Know exactly what type of job you want. When you’re against the clock you can waste lots of time pondering your next role. Whereas, if you already have a clear idea you can quickly start looking for this type of job, online via job boards, social media or recruitment agencies.

2. You have no time to be picky

Unfortunately, you don’t have a lot of time to be ‘choosey’ about your next job. To overcome this, applying for temp work can be a great time-filler. You can help bridge the gap between your chosen career roles by earning a bit of cash in the meantime and gaining some great transferable skills.

3. Ask for help

Sometimes, doing everything alone can take up more time. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, from friends, family members or past co-workers to help you secure a new role. They may have connections or know of job vacancies that could help point you in the right direction.
